With support from the California Arts Council, we were was able to create a series of bilingual instructional videos in dance, music and urban art. In order to build a broader movement and a more inclusive experience for our participants as well as new communities outside our physical locations, we sought to make multilingual instructional videos, so that people can communicate, learn and create art together. We created 15 introductory teaching videos in both Spanish and English, with multiple lessons available in all four elements of hip hop. We were able to work with outstanding local artists, who spent considerable time ahead of the film and production stage to prepare their lesson plans. For all of the artists on the videos, this was their first real experience of teaching their artistic craft in front of a camera in a professional setting. We are grateful for the opportunity to share these videos with everyone.
